Tahrir today

Another day of protest in Cairo, with a small pro-reform group (including several MPS) gathering in Tahrir Square to protest (I think) the emergency laws. The mood seemed very different from yesterday; the demonstrators were charged by police and there is footage of them being beaten and shoved. A lot less coverage of it today but here again are some videos and photos:

Daily News’ summary of the day

all from this excellent flickr set

raw footage of the clashes with the police

and some more videos from 3arabawy

and apparently they’re now going to raise the minimum wage a bit
